Environmental Management ISO 14001 Certification Achieved by UBDS

We are very pleased to announce that we have received certification for ISO 14001, Environmental Management, awarded by QMS International.

ISO 14001 is the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems, designed to help businesses and other organisations reduce their environmental impact. Through this framework, UBDS can reduce waste, improve resource efficiency, and cut waste management costs.

UK Government Net Zero Strategy

The UK was the first major economy to create a legally binding target to lower greenhouse emissions to Net Zero by 2050. The target was recommended by the Climate Control Committee, based on the latest scientific research conducted. There is also overwhelming public support for acting on climate change.

UBDS is committed to becoming a technology leader in achieving Net Zero, helping to drive behaviours that create positive change in the workplace and at home. Some of our initiatives include:

• Created and formalised the UBDS Carbon Reduction Plan with a commitment to achieve Net Zero in 2022
• All UBDS company vehicles are electric and employees are encouraged to lease personal electric vehicles through a company scheme
• A hybrid working policy reduces workplace emissions by 35%, and employees are encouraged to switch energy suppliers to renewable energy sources were possible
• We support organisations in moving from on-premise datacentres to the cloud, and support our clients with energy efficient cloud architectures
