Transitioning to an SD-WAN architecture

To align with its ‘cloud-first’ strategy, our client faced the urgent need to migrate its application infrastructure to Azure public cloud. This required transitioning to an SD-WAN architecture to:

  • Ensure secure and reliable access to SaaS applications and Microsoft 365 (M365).
  • Meet critical timelines before the end-of-support for existing network circuits.

Design, Deployment and Management of a modern network infrastructure

Through a competitive procurement process, the client partnered with UBDS Digital to design, deploy, and manage a modern network infrastructure packaged within a managed service. Key components of the solution included:

  • Managed SD-WAN, LAN, and Secure Access Services: Delivered as part of a 5-year managed service agreement in collaboration with Softcat, offering 24/7/365 coverage.
  • UK-Based Infrastructure Operations Centre: Provided comprehensive management of LAN and SD-WAN solutions, leveraging cloud-based orchestration for proactive and centralised control.
